Hotel Katerina - Valet

Wage & Job info: $16.50/hr, + Eligible for gratuities. Full-Time position.

This position requires that you are able to drive a company vehicle. Insurance requires the individual to be at least 25 years old with a valid driver license. We also require a completed Drug Screen.

The Valet will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and exceptional service from the moment they arrive. You will safely and efficiently park and retrieve vehicles while assisting guests with their luggage and providing local recommendations as needed. Your role includes maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor, ensuring traffic flow remains smooth, and upholding Oxford’s safety and service standards. With attention to detail and a commitment to creating a positive first impression, you will contribute to a seamless and memorable guest experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.

Transport (60%):

  • Enthusiastically welcome guests and anticipate their needs upon arrival and departure
  • Safely and efficiently park and retrieve guests’ vehicles as needed
  • May transport guests (using company vehicle) to and from the airport and other locations
  • Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations
  • Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to their Supervisor/ property management team
  • Appropriately document guest activity and use of hotel valet services, vehicle status and damage upon arrival or departure, and special requests from patrons.

Perform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations. Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to their supervisor or General Manager.

Guest Relations (30%):

  • Greet guests with warmth and hospitality at the hotel entrance, welcoming them to the hotel
  • Always provide a high level of customer service, taking time with our guests to ensure every aspect of their stay is up to expectations
  • Interact and acknowledge guests, providing directions, assistance, and information about hotel amenities and local attractions
  • Escort guests to rooms, cart guest luggage to and from guestrooms, Inform guests of hotel amenities and offer additional services for the guests’ stay
  • Deliver guest supplies, amenities, and packages to guestrooms as requested or assigned
  • Ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests by promptly responding to their needs, including assisting with luggage
  • Report and/or follow-up on any complaints or problems a guest may experience in a timely and professional manner

OTHER (10%):

  • Complete a daily activity log with pertinent shift information for co-workers and leadership team
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the valet work area, including polishing and monitoring all bell carts
  • Perform outside maintenance of public areas, such as picking up trash in the parking lot, cleaning ashtrays, and policing the dumpster area
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for scheduled shifts

PREFFERED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1+ years of customer service preferred
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays
  • Regular and reliable attendance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to stand on feet throughout the day;
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
  • An outdoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
  • Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs
